Lunch Talk 'ANNE+'
ANNE+ is a web series about the love life of Anne, a twenty-something lesbian girl living in Amsterdam. Through six episodes, you follow her and the different relationships she’s had in her four years as a student. Each episode centers around a different girl she’s had a relationship with.
The main reason to make this series is because there is still a lack of lesbian representation in (Dutch) films and series. And it’s so important for young girls who struggle with their sexuality to see content they can identify with. But it’s not always easy to get a project like this off the ground.
Maud is making this web series with a team of young, passionate filmmakers. Everyone on the cast and crew is still working for free, as it is hard to get funding for a web series. Even though online content is the present and the future, it is hard to get funding because most of the funds are still revolving around television and cinema. Through crowdfunding and a collaboration with a film production company they hope to get enough funding to make the series. If you have enough passion and energy, but not enough money, how can you make your dream project happen? Maud will discuss her experience with funding, lack of lesbian representation and writing the series.
