What is a Conflict? – with Aernoud Bourdrez
What is a conflict?
According to the Oxford dictionary, ‘a serious disagreement or argument’. Encyclopaedia Brittanica calls a conflict, ‘the arousal of two or more strong motives that cannot be solved together’. Look at the images below. They all meet these criteria but are, in my view, no real conflicts as we can experience in daily life.
Aernoud studied law and practiced law for more than 15 years. This month, he will launch his new company Sauveterre – Conflict Analysis & Negotiations. He came up with a new definition for conflict and is curious to know whether it will stand the ideas of some radical innovators.
If you have any suggestions on what a conflict is, please shoot . . . on Thursday, December 8th, a 12.30pm. Sign up for the lunch here.
