School Club ART & ACTIVISM
The second edition of the Spring House School Club will unravel the intricate link between ART and ACTIVISM and what we can learn from it in our daily work. We -the students- will tackle some of the emerging questions on the link between art and social and political action:
– What is ‘activist art’?
– Does it really have potential to create impact and change in the world?
– How do artists address political and social topics in art production?
– How do galleries approach to the topic?
– How is activism is related to the job market today?
Curious to learn more about the topic? Join the Spring House School Club for intellectual refreshment and new perspectives.
The School Club will take on the topic in 3 sessions. Every session will examine Art and Activism from a different angle, and will be led by a lecturer or artist. There will also be an excursion to a nearby gallery. The sessions will be held in Spring House’s cozy Library, with a light breakfast and plenty of curiosity.
