Lunch Talk with Rolinka Kattouw
Twenty percent of the Amsterdam households live in poverty but most of the city's poverty reduction budget fails to reach the people who need it. Approximately 50 initiatives, services and projects focusing on poverty alleviation throughout the city are not, or insufficiently known to the people they are aimed at. Therefore Amsterdam's alderman Vliegenthart appointed a poverty director to deal with this problem. Oostwest designed a citizen centered approach, together with representatives from the 'target audience' and professionals working in the field.
During lunch on November 1st Rolinka Kattouw would like to tell you about her project, the approach used, the preliminary results and the professionals involved in the team. Also it would be nice to exchange ideas and thoughts about the challenges we are facing.
